I'll be looking into SketchUp today to see if I can import something from that program into AutoCAD. I could trace over a PDF of the stuff from Grizzly but that would be very time consuming. Grizzly Industrial has a pretty good online shop planner with a lot of pictures and I've tried a few others but I need something I'm a little more familiar with and can manipulate. ![]() All the design is done on the computer and I print out drawings for my wood projects. For me, I do the woodworking just like I did mechanical design in metal. ![]() Woodworking was always a hobby but more now that I am retired. I have a bunch of files that show the basic footprint and work area of machines from work projects but they are just a box. I have used CAD 3D solid modeling for design for more years than I would like to count. I've been asked by a friend for help laying a new workshop and I'm trying to find detailed plan views of woodworking machines in some sort of CAD. ![]() I've been looking up and researching just about every source I know of, contacted numerous Architects and reviewed just about every project (I'm a drafts person by trade) I've ever worked on over the past 23 years and can't find what I'm looking for.
